Does your clothing style should matter? (14)

I think it's safe to say that no matter what our point of view on clothes is, we have a sense of style, particular one, sure, but one indeed.

This sense of style may change over time as you mature up, or have a serious relationship. Getting involved with someone means you have to say goodbye to a few piece of clothing.

For about two weeks now, I've been into this TV show, How I Met Your Mother.
Quite the show if I may say! During a couple of episodes, we can tell that no matter how much you love someone, one piece of clothing may seem to annoy you. In the show, Lily and Marshall, a loving married couple, have gone through a similar path where Lily didn't like the overall that Marshall loved. Now, when you grow up when you enter an important job like Marshall did, you have to suit up.
The show is quite right on a lot, and it does remind me of FRIENDS a little. Both shows make us realize what life is all about, give life tips, love lessons, friendship perspective. You name it, both shows make us see the reality of this world. And... Sadly, the style of clothing we choose to wear at some point may not be the same in a year.

When it comes to relationships, we have this happy stage, many of us go through.... Look at the same carefully next time...
When that happy stage hits us, we are most likely to wear our favourite dress or favourite shirt. Depending on who we are, what we like.
Next step is how confident we are about the relationship! Feeling confident about the relationship may be shown by how we want to impress the other person. It helps you sail across tougher times by being optimistic and somehow your choice of clothing comes along as well.

Not always sunny in the relationship world, depression may come along in every way, your style of clothing will scream "DEPRESSION".
Darker colours will show up more often than expected, and no, you will continue wearing darker colours until your mood switch back into the happy place.

Now, when you are in a relationship, a real commitment, you will most likely deal with the obvious change in your closet. Either you will look more adult like, or professional, laid back (not a care in the world about your other half's opinion), more colour, less colours. Don't get me wrong, when you enter a committed relationship, you aren't looking at his sense of style (slightly will), you will not base your judgments on his clothes, but in the long run, some clothes will have to say goodbye to the dear closet. These red cowboy boots, the too-short of a dress, the kid tee-shirt that you wear on your lazy day, your wedges... When in a relationship, you have to sacrifice a bit of you, and clothing items are a part of it.

So to conclude this little post, your fashion style shouldn't matter when you start loving someone, but it will be later on in life. Be careful how you choose your clothes, every situation is different. I'm not saying you should change your style because of someone else, do it for yourself first. Dress however you like, but still be careful!

Friday nights are for what?

Everyone or almost everyone waits for Friday nights, impatiently enough to be grumpy at the beginning of the week.

I used to wait for it all week when I was back at school, the weekend meant, no socializing and fake smiling, no drama, no studies (listening to a teacher talk). Now, it's just another day, I usually work or writing my blog, novel. I don't think much about going out with friends or watch a movie, go on dates... Friday nights are just like other nights. I get home, pass out right after I caught up on the latest TV show episode or YouTuber. When I put it like this, it sounds pathetic, almost sad as well as boring. Don't worry, I ain't complaining cause my Friday nights are amazing, away from too many responsibilities (after work).

But if you are the quit person who prefers to stay home, cozy under a blanket instead of running wild like most college kids on Friday night, here is some proposition... Some things to make you think about what you should do on a Friday night!

#1. Harry Potter or Pirates of the Carribean marathon
This one used to be my favourite thing to do. I watched the Harry Potter movies many many times just like Pirates of the Carribean. Can't get enough of them. I ain't into Star Wars (never watched it either)but if you are definitely into this series, please go and watch it all night long.
#2. Netflix
Everyone will agree on this! Netflix has amazing movies, old as well as new. Tv shows, animation, different genre, I mean, they go it all, almost. You won't get bored out of Netflix!

#3. Get that cooking skills of yours on
Why not take the time to cook a home meal. You can put TV on, music... Fake it until you make it! Keep practicing this lasagna that you have been trying to perfect for the last three weeks instead of ordering out.

#4. Cocktail time
You may be by yourself in front of a good movie, but having a glass of wine or a martini doesn't hurt. You are already home, no need to drive back to your place. Just make sure you remember to lock the door before going to bed.

#5. Bath time if you are lucky enough to have one
Get candles going, a sweet music playlist in the background, and slowly get in the warm, bubbly bath. Enjoy that freedom, enjoy the moment of relaxation in a warm soapy bath.

#6. Skype, write letters,  catch up with friends
You had a long week, no time to get that phone call, call back friends, now is a perfect time. Make sure, they are free but get that free time to catch up with family, friends...

#7. Reading time
I know, it sounds boring, but if you are a bookworm like me, it will be the perfect night. Hot chocolate, candles, and a good book, the one you have been meaning to read for months, and didn't have the time to do so!

#8. Too tired, bags under your beautiful sleepy eyes...
Sleep early, try to catch up on sleep if you had sleepless nights. Boring, again, yet, we all need that time, and if you cannot nap during the day, a good night sleep may do the trick!

#9. Paint these nails of yours
If you are a woman, girl, why not treat yourself right with beauty masks, nail treatment...

#10. Organize yourself
Sometimes, we forget birthdays, we forget to send cards, we forget important dates, phone numbers... Why not take that valuable time to write everything down, neatly in case another birthday is coming up. That messy closet of yours has plenty of old clothes, then clean it out!

Friday nights aren't always about going out with friends, party until dawn, or get overly drunk, blackout and wake up the next morning naked in a stranger's bed.  Whether plans got canceled or you just don't feel like spending money on a bar, there is always a way to make your Friday night on... Some people are more into getting some studies back on track, reading a novel, watch a movie with a glass of wine... Friday nights are perfect if you want to treat yourself right, but then again, I believe the perfect night is when you know you don't have studies or work the next working.
"Friday night! I have a date with my bed... We're totally going to sleep together!"

Who's that girl.. Who's that girl... It's... Jess

If you didn't see where I was going with the title of this post, you certainly don't know about the TV show "New Girl"...

It's been on the air for quite some time now, since 2011, and it has conquered my heart with a bit of hilarious, sweet, life lessons. I know I've talked about F.R.I.E.N.D.S. but this is a new series that I enjoy watching!

Jess, a young, eccentric school teacher living with three completely different guys makes me, at least, wondering and teach me a lot of life itself as well as love.

Here're some life and love lessons that I learned throughout the show!

Having periods can be described well!

You can have that cocky moment once in a while, it doesn't hurt!

Mistakes are part of life and Winston knows!

Breakups...

Being different is fun don't hide who you are...

You are on this planet for a reason so make the best out of it!

Usually, I don't fall in love with TV shows but this one reminds me of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
It's by far one of the most funniest show out there and people should watch it! If you don't, you are missing out! Because of this show, I learned to give second chances, even though it's not granted to everyone, I try my hardest to make exceptions.
This show cannot get old, you cannot find an easy way to just forget about it, it's just not possible! You laugh, you cry, you feel guilty, you experience so many emotions by watching it that I don't think you can be mentally ready to say goodbye to it! I hope it goes on for a long time! Without it, I would have been a complete disaster after my breakup!

Paper... Snow...A ghost...

You've guessed it, it's Joey from F.R.I.E.N.D.S!!!!

Besides movies, I love TV shows, especially F.R.I.E.N.D.S, it's an old tv show, yes, but one of the best ones out there!
I've watched every single episode more than four times. It's a great way to escape reality, and it's an amazing, life lesson show! You learn how to grow up, learn about jobs, romance, depression, babies, families, friends... And a lot of heartbreaks! It got me through so many desperate times, it's always a good way to go if you want to laugh!

Here are 10 life lessons from F.R.I.E.N.D.S:

1. Good friends are priceless!
Look at all six of them, always helping one another, and being there for each other...
2. Always eat the rest of the cheesecake!
Cheesecake is delicious, so don't try and finish it later, you'll regret it!
3.Always think before you speak!
This one must be the most common life lesson out there, but I learned that lesson from FRIENDS.

4.Dance like no one is looking!!!
Don't ever let any judgments bother you from doing anything you want. Look at Ross and Monica, it was, let's be honest, embarrassing.
5. When you go have a fake tan, don't bother counting MISSISSIPPI seconds!
Unless you want to go from paper white to dark chocolate, go ahead, feel free to count Mississippi seconds! It will be a good laugh to others for sure!
6. Enjoy the little things in life.
Just because it's tiny, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy and be happy about it. Look at Joey and Chandler with their comfy chairs...
7. Always stay young!
We all grow up at some point, but do we have to give up the bubble wrap? Come on, it's fun... :)

8. Breakups are hard and painful!
The pain is real and Rachel shows us exactly how it is... Just plain painful.
9. Never cheat!
Not even on a break! Like honestly? Really? Ross made a mistake and look what happened! Just because you are on a break doesn't mean you can go and play around. Be true to the one you love or else you can say goodbye to them!
10. Last lesson for this post at least... Communicate! Please talk to one another! You might end up learning a lot from                                                         each other, and it fixes problems.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S had been on the air from 1994 to 2004, and even though I used to watch it in French, I've always loved it! This show helped me with my English, helped me throughout breakups, helped me understand how people may act, it such a great show to know what real life is like, that you just want to watch every episode multiple times!
And the best part is the song! " I'll be there for you..." Santa Cleopatra... It gets stuck in your head but hey at least it's not that stupid potato flew around my room song...

If you don't like the show, don't bother being my friend, it won't work! I don't need extra negativity in my life... I'm sorry.
