March's Favourite...

Since I've started to work from home and at my favourite little coffee shop in town, I've been listening to a lot more music... Maybe a little much since sometimes I don't even hear the songs after a while.

Anyways... I've gathered a few songs, few of my favourites as well as an album that will be coming up soon!

So let's start with FUR. A band from Brighton, indie and not too popular which makes me want to listen to them more. Came across this band by accident via YouTube and since then it's been playing around. There's something about the band that is catchy... So if you enjoy Indie go for it...

Next stop will be Banners. A musician from Liverpool who only started a few years ago. I first heard "Shine A Light" and then heard another song from a tv series "The Good Doctor" on episode 17. Since then I've been enjoying listening to this musician who I believe has a talent.

Catfish and the Bottlemen is a Welsh indie rock band who I've fallen in love with. I cannot get enough of their songs, between the music as well as the lyrics. Got to first hear them back in 2007 when their first album came out, but since then, I've come across amazing songs...

Another band which have been playing for a while now is The Wombats which is an indie rock band from Liverpool. "Kill the Director" was the first song that made me like the band as it is quite different from what I used to listen to. Still active and still going strong...

One of my 'lover boy' as to be Tom Grennan. Singer based in London caught my attention with one song ' This Is the Age' and then multiple songs followed. His voice definitely gives you chills... Plus I can't deny how handsome he is, what a bonus...

My recent discovery got me back 'home', Ireland. A young Dubliner, Dermot Kennedy, inspired a lot of my current creative writing. Calm but yet powerful voice, amazing songs got me to think a lot. His music is a blend of a whole lot got me intrigued and since then, I haven't got tired of listening to him. Homesick...

The album which is supposed to come out on the 5th of April is called "What's It Like Over There?" from my favourite band, Circa Waves. If you haven't heard from them it's an indie rock band from Liverpool. Despite being my favourite band, I truly believe they deserve a lot more credit for their music as well as their videos... Cannot wait for the new album but for now, I've got a little peak on what's coming up...

Music has always been my cup of tea but I've recently listened to many more songs, and I cannot get over them all!

Does your clothing style should matter? (14)

I think it's safe to say that no matter what our point of view on clothes is, we have a sense of style, particular one, sure, but one indeed.

This sense of style may change over time as you mature up, or have a serious relationship. Getting involved with someone means you have to say goodbye to a few piece of clothing.

For about two weeks now, I've been into this TV show, How I Met Your Mother.
Quite the show if I may say! During a couple of episodes, we can tell that no matter how much you love someone, one piece of clothing may seem to annoy you. In the show, Lily and Marshall, a loving married couple, have gone through a similar path where Lily didn't like the overall that Marshall loved. Now, when you grow up when you enter an important job like Marshall did, you have to suit up.
The show is quite right on a lot, and it does remind me of FRIENDS a little. Both shows make us realize what life is all about, give life tips, love lessons, friendship perspective. You name it, both shows make us see the reality of this world. And... Sadly, the style of clothing we choose to wear at some point may not be the same in a year.

When it comes to relationships, we have this happy stage, many of us go through.... Look at the same carefully next time...
When that happy stage hits us, we are most likely to wear our favourite dress or favourite shirt. Depending on who we are, what we like.
Next step is how confident we are about the relationship! Feeling confident about the relationship may be shown by how we want to impress the other person. It helps you sail across tougher times by being optimistic and somehow your choice of clothing comes along as well.

Not always sunny in the relationship world, depression may come along in every way, your style of clothing will scream "DEPRESSION".
Darker colours will show up more often than expected, and no, you will continue wearing darker colours until your mood switch back into the happy place.

Now, when you are in a relationship, a real commitment, you will most likely deal with the obvious change in your closet. Either you will look more adult like, or professional, laid back (not a care in the world about your other half's opinion), more colour, less colours. Don't get me wrong, when you enter a committed relationship, you aren't looking at his sense of style (slightly will), you will not base your judgments on his clothes, but in the long run, some clothes will have to say goodbye to the dear closet. These red cowboy boots, the too-short of a dress, the kid tee-shirt that you wear on your lazy day, your wedges... When in a relationship, you have to sacrifice a bit of you, and clothing items are a part of it.

So to conclude this little post, your fashion style shouldn't matter when you start loving someone, but it will be later on in life. Be careful how you choose your clothes, every situation is different. I'm not saying you should change your style because of someone else, do it for yourself first. Dress however you like, but still be careful!

Enzo's Birthday... Another brother...

Happy Birthday to my younger brother, Enzo, turning 8, today!

My favourite number, and my toughest school year...

I was back in France for 2nd grade or what we call, CE1. The year where I couldn't stand the teacher much, the same year where I started to stop doing my homework, where I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I grow up... The same year where I started to "love" a boy. I wasn't the easiest kid around, even if I kept amazing grades, succeeding each exam, my stubbornness overcame me all the time.
It was the year where the only thing I wanted to do is watch tv shows about crime and lawyers, law and detective work. Being able to defend the victims, bring justice and some peace to people. That's all I wanted, maybe I was relating my private life through what I wanted to do, but all I knew was that I was the only kid who thought about such a complex job. The drawing surprised the teacher... It was the same year, where I would read adult books while kids my age were still trying to figure out how to read correctly.

I was a stubborn little 8 years old girl, hopefully, my brother will be less of a stubborn kid.
