That's shameful ...

WHAT A SHAME!

A couple weeks ago, I was on my Facebook, looking at the feed when I came across a video. I watched it out of curiosity and then learned something incredibly shameful! Ok, I'm sure you want to see it, yet I spent a good hour looking for it. Dumb little me didn't save the video, so I'm apologizing because you might have enjoyed it if you like to learn information like this!

The video started saying that a certain percentage of students didn't know how to boil an egg or do their own laundry.
I don't know if it's just Americans, but in the video, they made the study in America so Americans had to be targeted... Saved me from looking stupid... Just kidding!  Thanks for being European!

So first, apparently, students cannot cook at all, not even boil an egg, or make pasta (I mean come on, that's so easy), and they can't do laundry as well... What the hell! Don't parents teach their kids to do their laundry or help in the kitchen so later on, when the kids live on their own they know what to do? If I was a parent, I would teach my children to do the basic like cooking, cleaning, laundry...
After watching the video, I was ashamed of our society. It's gone sideways, downhill! I don't expect kids my age or around my age to perfectly cook, but at least know how to use water
correctly and the time management. With today's technology, I'm sure you can find a simple recipe online. Just use the internet wisely! I'm young, turning 20 soon, and when I look at people my age or slightly younger or older, all I see is immaturity! The mature people are rare, and that's sad, it shows how society has not involved well. Don't take it personally, I'm generalizing people. It's not you personally, it's the majority of people that just take things for granted and honestly, they should really take a good look at life itself.
I have my own share of bad things, I ain't perfect, but I've got the basics. I know how to live on my own! I know how to manage laundry, cook, clean (I hate cleaning though), going grocery! Now, I recently learned a great lesson, and I'm trying to change a few things. It's difficult  to change for the better, ameliorate your views of life... So, if you are just like me trying to be better, I believe in you!

Being adult can be challenging, frightful, and irritating!
After turning 18, I was feeling sick, I had to act like an adult in some points and still act like a child in others. That age is annoying, especially for me! I didn't spend my teenage years like the others, I had too many responsibilities, so now it seems like I just want to be back again and act like a teenager who can be mean and do dumb things! I'm realizing that I did indeed miss out on my teenage years, growing up faster and mature up quicker than people my age.
Turning 20 and I'm still at that age when I'm not really considered an adult and not a child anymore. It's in between, some actually still look at me like a child and others expect me to be an adult who does adult things! People make up your mind!

The things I'm realizing, slowly but still I am...

Say goodbye to the fact that being invincible is over! That time is gone forever! We all did some crazy things growing up, I know I did (just a few things), but when you grow up, you have to see the outcome... While when you are a kid, you go for it and don't care about the result.

You have to take more responsibilities, start caring for yourself! That can be quite challenging! I don't want to talk about my experience as it is quite awful, too young and now it's like I'm on a strike! But I love being independent, it's nice!
Where did everyone go? You lose touch with people so easily. The only people that will stay in your life is your real friends, the others will eventually leave and do their own things. It's sad but true, just like junior high going to high school, but this is college to life.
Oh, new things will interest you! Maybe you'll stop listening to Blink-182 or stop going on hikes... You will end up liking new things! It's like you'll be the person you laughed at during your high school years. That boring person you thought you'll never be... It will happen!
Free time will be precious! Between the job, maybe the family you created, and friends that want to make plans because they barely see you... Some free alone time will be appreciated because it will be rare!

At the end of the day, you should know the basic to become an adult. Even if it means asking for help at first! Seize the day... Being an adult will eventually have to come, so make the best out of it. Don't worry too much and live day by day. Be spontaneous, and believe in yourself! I know you will be able to boil an egg, I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Don't be judgmental, please...

I'm writing this post as of Thursday 21st, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. or 18:30 for today Friday the 22nd.

First off, I'm a bit tipsy, maybe a little more than just a "bit", but I can still write so keep your comments to yourself! Give me a break!

Thursday:  After waking up to my mum's messages of an old journal of mine with no pages inside whatsoever, I knew that the day was going to be "bollocks", completely "shitty". If you have to know, it was my second journal, the one I had when I was 7 years old, and my father who doesn't care that it is private used it against my mother for the divorce. Since then I haven't seen it, he kept it, until my brother who wanted to be nice took it without looking inside. He should have, but yeah, no pages, all ripped out from the cover. I'm still feeling sick about it, and it's also one of the reasons I wanted to forget about the day!

So no matter what, I got up, took a shower, and went to grab a yogurt type of bowl at a cafe. It was rather good, I believe there is some more in the fridge which is amazing:), and my mum called... Ended up skyping with everyone, got to see my younger brothers, which made me smile big. That part was quite nice until my dear mum decided to show me the goodies from Europe... It made me miss the food a lot more than usual like I wasn't feeling bad enough already. She had to make it worse... Thank you mum for that! Then I opened a bottle of white wine that turned up more to be bubbly, not a fan! But it did get me tired, and since I needed to forget a few things from the morning, I decided to lay on the couch in front of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
I fell asleep for 30 minutes, but my problems and the shitty day didn't go by very fast! It was rather disappointing.
Days like these shouldn't exist! Honestly!
As it is the evening, I'm supposed to cook myself some food for dinner, but a shitty day like this means candy and wine... Great mix, you should try it! Hopefully, I don't have a massive headache tomorrow when I wake up from my short night. And let's wish I don't forget to post this one when I wake up on Friday, today!
The funny fact is that I've got a drunk playlist on my Itunes, and I can't sing along to any of the songs except "Snap Out Of It from Artic Monkeys". It's one of the most listened, watch the clip!

I'm actually starting to think I'm more than just tipsy!
Ps: I had to delete a bunch of people on my Instagram so if I accidently unfollowed you, it's an accident, don't take it personally, I will try to get everyone I like back when sober up. So not when I'm writing this post! For some odd reason, I followed people that didn't interest me whatsoever so clean up time for drunk little me! :)

Being drunk is a funny feeling! Everyone react kind of differently, I know one of my friends got very sad and would cry like a baby, and there would be nothing to cheer him up. It was quite annoying! Then you have the aggressive one, the one that starts picking fights for no apparent reason... I've seen a couple of them, one was just too drunk that when he tried punching the person in front of him he missed and hit the wall next the guy. It was hilarious to watch, but sad... I never got to know if he was alright. Hopefully... Next, is the goofy one... I'm kind of goofy when drunk, it's part of how I'm drunk. We laugh at EVERYTHING without exception! Actually, I played a video game last time, I'm usually the type to set off quickly and get frustrated, angry, but when I'm drunk, I'm just "Oh, that missed..." It's funny because I laugh most the time and don't see the mistakes and why I lose. The one that is also like me is the affectionate one. Alright, not the one that goes all sexual on you, and takes her
blouse off... I mean it could happen, but no! The affectionate ones are just sweet and cuddly, more open minded to be in people's arms, to curl up like babies. They are innocent, no violence and usually hilarious to watch cause it happens, we become babies... Watch out for us!
Some people black out completely, and the next day it's all a blur. It happened to me once at a friend's house.... Too much vodka and I threw up everywhere. He cleaned up and put me to bed... Next day, I was covered in bruises from bumping everywhere, and my hair was wet... I managed to be in a shower at 5 in the morning, drunk, sick... I don't recall anything except falling down on the bathroom floor, and having the dog following me. That's about it, for more information you should ask the friend that took care of me. I'll always be grateful for what he did! A Little tip, don't over drink even sad... You don't know where you will end up the next day! I've got lucky to have a really good friend!

Alright, alright,  it's getting too long, too much to read, sorry, when I'm drunk I can write for hours... Blame the alcohol, not me... It's not my fault! It's the crappy day! Thursday the 21st isn't as amazing as it looked, sunny and hot!

The Book of Symbols 2...

Fog

This monumental Japanese painting- it is 260 feet long- invites us into the world of fog. Studying it from right to left, in the tradition of Japanese scroll viewing, we move from forbidding blackness through a somber middle ground to delicate tracery and translucency to what finally appears to be hazy light. The symbolism of fog is just as variable.

The darkest images arose in Scandinavia, where Niflheim, a mythical wasteland of freezing mist and fog populated by monsters, also included the realm of the dead (Orchard, 118). "[F]og in my throat" was Robert Browning's metaphor for approaching death (in Prospice). Fog may arise from the work of demonic beings in fairy tales or surround Shakespear's witches, who comment on the "fog and filthy air" (Macbeth 1.1.16). In Asian legend, it may represent strange moods in which spirits appear (Biedermann, 139). Widely, through, fog is taken to represent confusion, uncertainty, indefiniteness, a state between the real and the unreal. Here it is opposed to the brilliant light of certainty.

While fog seems vaporous, we feel it, because it is formed by the condensation of very small water droplets around microscopic dust particles in the air. Fog limits horizontal vision. Less dense, it is called haze or mist. Unlike clouds, its base is on or near the ground and its symbolism is associated not with the sky, but with the earth realm. Sometimes the fog is seen as unfolding, blanketing. T.S.Eliot imagined fog as a yellow cat that "rubs its back upon the window pane" and finally "curled once about the house and fell asleep" (Eliot, 4 ). Contemporary poet Nan Hunt refers to fog as, "The mummy wrap of soft white/ that hints of a resurrection."

Fog is not favorable to direct action. Ships, planes, and fast-moving humans are delayed or stopped. A slower, more cautious awareness arises. Symbolically, the world of clear rational thought gives way to dreaminess, ambiguity, a kind of knowing that is more nuanced, less absolute. This knowing is perhaps more valued in the East than in the West. Zen sage Keizan Zenji puts it :

Though clear waters range to the vast
blue autumn sky. How can they compare with
the hazy moon on a spring night!
Most people want to have pure clarity,
But sweep as you will, you cannot empty
the mind.
Maezumi, iii

Fog is the medium in which the elements of a classic Japanese nature study are obscured, and materialize. Forest, Senju Hiroshi, fusuma (sling door) painting. 2001.

Cheesy or just romantic...

Summer time has arrived and love as well, no, I'm not talking about me... I know that's sad, but hey let's be happy for others who are in love!

For some odd reasons, summer shapes a lot of love stories... In some cases, not everyone gets that lucky! I would know something about summer love... It doesn't last that long, though, pretty disappointing!

This past few weeks have been tough and the only thing I could think of is romance as in weddings and engagements. I usually don't watch or read cheesy romantic movies or books but it's always nice to have a list of good romantic ones...

So here is my list of movies to start off the post, the ones I watched a couple times and makes my heart go crazy!

- Leap year
A young woman decides to propose to her boyfriend on February 29th as an Irish tradition... Between the accents, the brutal truth and the honesty, you learn a lot more than you may expect!
- Love Actually
It's from 2003, but Santa Cleopatra, it's one of the best movies out there!
- Amelie
A young Parisian... Yeah, you have to watch it! I wrote a post about it, and you cannot get more romantic than this one.
- Ghost
Old movie, classic one, and such a romantic dramatic side to it! Perfect if you want to cry!
- 50 First Dates
How can you not watch Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, together, making magic! It's a must watch!
-Music and Lyrics
Still with Drew Barrymore but this time with Hugh Grant! That British accent makes the movie 10 times better!
- When in Rome
An American movie with a good laugh to it!
- Made of Honor
Couldn't go wrong with an Irish wedding...
- Four Weddings and a Funeral
Back to the old times... Couldn't get better than this!
- Pride and Prejudice
Let's fall in love all over again!
Final one...
- Definitely, Maybe
Three relationships, three disasters, one last chance...

And here is the book lists, the ones I've read on multiple occasions:

-The Fault In Our Stars by John Green also a movie, a must read and watch!
- Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
- The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks, his books usually ends up in movies, but I preferred the book for this one.
-Emma by Jane Austen, I love this author and I love her style of writing, it's a twist of sweet and bitter times for Emma... A must read if you love Jane Austen!
- Last Voyage of the Valentina by Santa Montefiore... I've read it twice and want to re-read it because I fell in love with the book.
- The Italian Matchmaker by Santa Montefiore, I know another one of hers but she is a fantastic writer, what can I say?
- Bella Fortuna by Rosanna Chiofalo, amazing book with great details, it makes you fall in love with Venice...
- All the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr, an amazing novel with a hint of love and wars between Germany and France during WWII...
- The Forget-Me-Not Sonata by Santa Montefiore, yes, she is here again, but like I've said she has talent! I only read it in French but four times, and I always fall in love with the characters.

I know it's just movies and books, that happy ending isn't always what we hope for, but love is strong. It's powerful enough to change the course of your life if you let it grow.

Hope you'll enjoy the little list of movies. I know it's not much, but I learned a few things from watching these movies...

This new app!!!!

POKEMON GO!

This game has come out a few weeks ago I believe... I can't download it and I'm happy!

I've been walking around town and all I see is people trying catch Pokemon, the world is completely idiotic at this point! It's not just like one-day sensational thing, it's been going on for a bit now, and it's taking over a lot of people! Including friends who instead of walking with me to get ice cream, he walks and plays! Hopefully, one day, I get the chance to see him catch a mailbox on his face!

What is the point of the game anyways? You catch virtual little POKEMON and that's it... Honestly, it's a disappointing game! There's no point for playing it! It's going to become an addiction right after cocaine! I mean people just walk around to get POKEMON... That's all you see, and they're gathering and meeting up at parks. That's great, gather around, but talk to each other and stop looking at your phone! Life is ending at the speed of light with this new game...

I'm actually going to start being afraid of going outside!

PS: I'll post tomorrow as I have time on my hands :) So come back again tomorrow!

Let's be feminine...

One dress at a time!

It's summertime and everyone expects women to wear dresses, skirts, shorts... The piece of clothing that I don't wear very often! The ones I'm not comfortable wearing!
It could be cute to wear, but not a fan of having them on me.

They can be beautiful, and make you look stunning, but it's not me...

Society taught us that if you are born a girl, you have to be feminine and that means wearing dresses... I'm not mad at people asking me why I don't like wearing them, but it can be frustrating.
When I see young women wearing short skirts, quite insulting, to be honest, too provoking, it's a little difficult to wear them afterwards.
Many women have a similar problem.
Here is some:
- It shows too much body, feeling exposed to the world. I was walking to the store once, it was windy outside, and my skirt kind of got a little too close to my body showing curves, not that I have many of them, guys that were around looked. I felt uncomfortable!
- Got used to the jeans! After a while, you get used to things, and if being comfortable means jeans for you, it will be difficult to wear a dress at an important or special occasion! Don't get me wrong, you can look sexy and very well dressed in jeans if you get the top part right!
- Some just don't fit at all! Being a short girl make me want to throw myself over the bridge, I'll have to look for one around here, but somehow some dresses makes me look like a potato. Please laugh as you can imagine a little potato walking in a cute little dress that doesn't fit well. Some prefer to hide their legs with maxi dresses, but they don't fit well, and it ends up in them not wearing dresses at all... It makes them feel bad, so why trying to wear dresses when they don't fit you!

My issue isn't a lack of confidence, I don't mind my body if it's in a skirt or dress, it's more the fact that I don't want others to see me as the others who wear dresses... It's a lack of confidence in a way, but I've seen so many young women wear these clothes just to get guys in their beds or just to be provoking, now I don't feel like wearing them at all because I see these girls.

Here is why girls wear dresses...

Too lazy to put on many articles of clothing, so dress... One article!

You can wake up and slip into a dress in a matter of second!

You can look like a princess when you spin around!

Great compliments may come your way... It boosts your confidence in wearing them!

It's simple! You don't have to choose the bottom part or the top part!

You can look very professional and feminine at the same time...

It makes your body type look fantastic!

Don't get me wrong, I will start to wear them a little more... Thank you for my mother's closet as she is away it will help boost my attitude towards dresses! It will be rare, but it will happen! I promise... Someday, sometime soon!

One of my addiction...

HOLD YOUR HORSES!

Don't go straight to conclusions with drugs or alcohol! I mean I do like to drink, but it's not an addiction, and I do not do any drugs so that's far from it!

So I've got a few addictions... Pastries being number one, Nutella in second place, gelato in third place, and comes to the last addiction... YouTube!

Go on, laugh at me, but how many of you watch YouTube on a daily basis? A lot of you, and don't try to lie... It's the new generation, all about YouTube!

I love to watch certain YouTubers and don't think I watch beauty ones! I can't stand them much except maybe Zoella...

So I watch:

The SACCONEJOLYs,:

This British YouTuber also has a vlogging channel and a gaming one as well... Has a comic book and has a movie with his old roommate Caspar...He is eccentric and isn't afraid of making fun of himself in front of the camera. I had a crush on him, and I picked up on a few little phrases that he says at times. Makes me laugh!

Caspar or Caspar Lee:
https://www.youtube.com/user/dicasp or https://www.youtube.com/user/morecaspar
Caspar is from South Africa but born in England, no he isn't black but very white and some people have compared him to a pineapple! Wrote a book with his mother, he came to London and lived with Joe Sugg for a while. He is hilarious and loves to prank his friends. Hilarious, he has an amazing accent.

Marcus Butler:
https://www.youtube.com/user/MarcusButlerTV or https://www.youtube.com/user/MoreMarcus or https://www.youtube.com/user/MarcusButlerGames

He is a young YouTuber from New Zealand with a cute accent and a funny way to give advice...

She is the big sister of Joe Sugg. She is a beauty vlogger who also share about her life, experiences, opinions. She is funny, very pretty and intelligent! I've learned a lot about life itself more than the beauty part. I ain't a fan, but if you are a girl, you should check her out!

Callux or Callum:
https://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialCallux
Pranks and interviews, usually seen with Joe or the Sidemen group! I laugh so much with this British guy, I mean his videos are so funny... You can't stop laughing and his accent is cute! I pick up on it quite easily!

Kind of new to YouTube, he has made a few appearances on Joe's channel as well as Caspar's. He makes short films about life, experiences, his new book (project), and his opinion. I couldn't stop watching his videos, not that many so after an entire day, it was done! I mean his videos are deep and powerful! Great YouTuber!

Then comes the FIFA type of YouTubers... (British ones)

Sidemen: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDogdKl7t7NHzQ95aEwkdMw
Website for more info:http://ultimatesidemen.com/
The official YouTube channel, it represents, Miniminter, KSI, Zerkaa, TBJZL, Behzinga, Wroetoshaw, and Vikkstar. They all collaborate and came together through their gaming channels, mostly FIFA for the most part.

A British/ Canadian YouTuber who plays FIFA and vlogs. He is part of the Sidemen. I love him and his videos, I laugh at them most the time, but I really enjoy watching him, learned a lot more about football players through his videos. My favorite YouTuber out there, plus dreaming about him makes it better... ;)

KSI or JJ:
A Nigerian/British YouTuber, the best known Sidemen, and millions of subscribers. He is hilarious, plays FIFA, and makes different types of videos, but he is a must watch! I enjoy and laugh so hard watching him!

Zerkaa or Josh:
Josh is probably the most British of the Sidemen... Calm when he loses on FIFA, I enjoy his comments, I always laugh at them... They are so unexpected and stupid that you can't hold yourself from laughing. He might be the calmest person I've ever seen on YouTube!

TBJZL or Tobi:
Tobi is British and a FIFA YouTuber who updates regularly. He used to play other games before FIFA, but each video is funny. Plus I love the song that plays at the beginning...

Behzinga or Ethan:
Ethan has the best laugh out there, it's contagious... It's either him raging or him laughing and both are extremely funny to watch! Good at FIFA, I love when he misses goals... He is the one that has all the gay comments and I don't think he is gay, though...

Wroetoshaw or Harry:
He is the latest addition of the Sidemen, and he has a really bad temper. That one will rage and destroy his chair in a matter of second. Great football player, though. He is known for breaking out and his blue jumper that he wear a lot. I love seeing him break down, just from very far!

Vikkstar123 or Vik:
British-Indian YouTuber that loves Minecraft and originally made Call of Duty videos. Moved to the house with JJ, Simon, and Josh, he got to play FIFA and outside football with the others. I don't watch much of his videos... His videos are pretty nice, great gamer but not that good at football...

This list is pretty long, and most of them are British YouTubers. There is obviously more YouTubers like Buzzfeed, Syndicate, NikiNSammy,Smosh...And plenty others...
Yes, I prefer the ones on the list than anyone else to be honest. My favorite one has to be Simon (Miniminter),though, I mean huge crush on him! Hilarious, cute, and he knows how to play football!
This is actually my favorite video :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qW21E1s_rZU
