I'm Golden...

It's officially Autumn! Summer has finally died to leave me in a better mood.
Alright, that's not all true, I can't say summer hasn't gone just yet since the weather isn't rainy, windy or cold enough for big sweaters and scarves. No beanies yet... Even though it is Autumn, it does not feel like it in California... How could it be this perfect season when all you have is the constant sun, bright blue sky, and the unbearable frustrating warm temperature... How?

So much anger towards Summer, the hot sun burning our skin, the humidity making us sweat... I cannot stand Summer except, for one simple tiny thing... Autumn is here now...

Favourite season...

I know I've been obsessing with the season but when you don't have the chance of living in a city where my sweater weather comes every year, you start missing it a lot. I have been having a long love story with sweaters, and despite the terrible fact that I cannot always wear them makes me depressed.

What makes this beautiful season so fabulous in many ways is simple. Really simple.

Autumn has gorgeous colours. Come on, the golden red leaves on the trees, falling on your head as you walk on the sidewalk to your work.
The smell of pumpkin spices, the firewood, the smell of rain in the air... Can't get better than this.

For me, the season has always brought something good in my life, and I'm beyond excited for the little boots, the scarves and sweaters to be back. The rain, first tattoo, traveling by myself, falling in love, making new friends... I could go on with the list, but it would be too much to write about and too many details I won't be able to remember. So it would end up being a boring reading for you!

This year, this season isn't going as plan, single, 21 so bars, working, and trying to get everything in my life organized. I'm still planning on getting that tattoo before the season end, planning on seeing a friend but never get it done. My life is a little bit more of a mess than ever before which makes me a little frustrated, but it is also why I started watching films, lots of films.

Let's starts off 'with Harry Potter, yes, I have to watch them every year, no matter what, I will find the time to watch them! They are too good to miss out on.

Now, it's Indiana Jones... I know the soundtrack, but when it comes to what it is about, I have no clue what is going on with anything.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels... Recommended to me by British friends, I can't wait to spend two hours in bed with chocolate and hot tea. There is always something interesting about crime, gang-related films.

Hocus Pocus
One of the best movies to watch in Autumn and no one can argue this! It's a classic that everyone wants to watch and yet... I still haven't watched it. I'm a real winner here.

The Nightmare Before Christmas! One of the best Tim Burton's films after a few others... This movie may seem childish and yet it is such a good one, the songs, the parody, the whole script. Autumn means Halloween to many of us, and despite the fact that it is not yet Halloween, it's a preparation for both this coming day and Christmas which I cannot wait for any longer.

Sleepy Hollow, another Burton's movie. I had to watch it for a class back at school, but this time, I want to watch it with another eye, not so critical and judgmental. It has some special actors such as Deep. The costumes, the way they talk, the jump scares will keep me up for an entire night.

This year's Autumn isn't full of movies as I work two jobs, and trying to keep track of my blog, my novel, and my new draft that is coming slowly into life, at least the whole idea is.
Autumn isn't all about scary movies, romantic walks in the park, or waking up to the sound of rain. It's about the hot drinks that you get to finally drink such as Pumpkin spice latte (not my thing), hot chocolate,  extra coffee for the frisky mornings. The cuddles are back on especially on dates, and that I cannot resist!

Settled in...

Alright...

Finally moved out and settled in the new place. Smaller but can't complain!
It's been a big change, odd feelings, and the most annoying couple days you could imagine!

I got my own room (again), and I'm starting to let go of certain feelings that were existing.

The good news is, my job is going amazingly well, can't complain about the hours, can't complain about my bosses because honestly, I love it! I'm sure I will be talking about my experiences soon enough! Be prepared for little stories...

This past week was rather tough, the whole month was, but this week was beyond explanation. I learned so much in so little time! For one, don't expect a "Thank you" from anyone especially the ones you trusted. It is a waste of your time and feelings. You will get disappointed by many people in your life. I just started mine, I'm already done with trusting people, giving out everything I have. One more person blew it up for others.
I don't want to go ahead and complain so I'm going to make it short... Don't give up on people, they are some great ones out there but do NOT trust too easily, don't give in when it comes to temptations, and importantly do NOT give yourself completely (keep having walls, bubble, boundaries) so you don't get too hurt!

Like I've said in a recent post, autumn means a new start, new love, new everything. You can say goodbye to the past, to the old you and you become a better person for yourself! Strange way to look at a season if you ask me, but this is how I view it.
I started a new job, thinking of writing more, stop trusting people, not fall in love quickly, and most importantly try to actually spend time for myself even if that means saying "No" to people when they need me. Everyone will survive even if I'm not here for all of them!
The sun seems perfect, the temperature seems to finally get lower, the wind blows, and the trees become golden. The first day you realize that you need to wear that scarf, sweater maybe a beanie in the morning... It is the season where everyone seems to be happy, to fall in love. Everything becomes a painting, a photo, a new adventure. You fall in love with one another, with the idea of soft scarfs covering your cold neck, protecting you from the little breeze. You fall in love with these amazingly warm blankets, the hot chocolate filled with whipped cream.

Each year I feel new, I feel in love with myself, I feel like everything is starting to be alright...
Each year something emotional has to happen, making me stronger...
Each year autumn makes me see who I can have in my life and who should leave...
Each year it becomes better and better...
I learn many different things, but they always make me feel at my best!

What does autumn teach you?

The leaves are falling...

As you already know, autumn started yesterday, September 22nd!

You have no idea how happy I am to be able to wear my sweaters again, and little boots, my scarf...
Autumn has to be my favorite season, doesn't matter if my birthday is in the summer, I love autumn! The orange/red leaves, the little breeze coming back, the cold nights (sometimes)... I just love this season and no, not for the holidays! I don't do thanksgiving, it's not European, and Halloween, well I've recently started to like it a bit, but not entirely yet!

To me, autumn is the best season and there are reasons for it, don't try to change my mind, I won't!

Little One... Look at the trees, for once and enjoy the colors that this amazing season gave you! The pretty orange, red, yellow, green colors and tell me what you truly think of it! Isn't it beautiful? And that morning light, it's golden, such a gift!

Little Two... The leaves fall down, you kick them, you jump in these piles of red leaves, what a childhood memory!

Little Three... Sweater Weather is coming around each year, starting in autumn! Being able to come to work without sweating is a real pleasure. Welcome back big sweaters!

Little Four... Cuddle dates never go wrong! In my opinion, autumn is the season of love. It's chilly outside, you are walking around and all you can do is hold on to the one you love!

Autumn makes me think of hot beverages in the corner of a coffee shop with a good book. It makes me think of the sound the steamer makes after a coffee, the rain (maybe not in California, *sad face*) tapping against the windows. It seems like everyone is happy, people smile it's a new beginning, a start of something great! Anything can happen in the fall, especially love! Autumn is, in fact, a romantic season... Us women look a bit more shy with our light sweaters, little boots, our scarf... It makes us look more mysterious, more untouchable.

Little Five... The TV shows that you missed all summer are back and running, but so does NFL, sports are on! I get to watch Serie A again! That's my little delight!

Little Six... No more bathing suits, no more shaving all the time, and there is No Shave November! Less time consumed with taking care of the shaving part.

Little Seven... Pumpkin Spice Latte is back, but so are pumpkin pies! Even being European, I got used to drinking and eating these! I miss it during spring and summer!

Little Eight... Christmas is on its way, there I said it! Winter is next and the beautiful holiday as well! Can't deny how wonderful Christmas is...

Despite having Christmas soon, Thanksgiving and Halloween are coming sooner! Indeed, thanksgiving is very American, but we can enjoy the good food in autumn, it's cooler so the hot food has returned to us! You may be saying goodbye to the summer tan and welcoming more clothes on your body, but you can't deny how amazing autumn is! I won't let you believe autumn is boring...
