I'm going to start by saying it never happened to me and may not happen anytime soon. This is what I had to hear from a friend, which I consider a close friend! Not my story but his, in a sort of way.
"Bella, you are not supposed to be in this generation. You are too much of an old soul, a beautiful simple pure love type of woman. Too much of a hopeless romantic." Confessed my best friend in Italy a few months ago.
Can't deny my hopeless romantic side, guess that means I'll stay single for a while!
So as I was saying this is a short fact about a friend of mine who I would have never believed it happened to him. Especially him. Not my best friend from Italy, he is like my clone when it comes to love. But another friend, one I care deeply about.
As we were conversing, he had to mention that his best relationship was an opened one. (I don't know how would you react, but I kind of had a shock attack, not believing what I was reading.) Quite the big news when he has said he's the hopeless romantic type of guy. I felt like he had been lying to me all this time and trust me I got broken into millions of pieces, shattered because I just couldn't have imagined this of him.
Don't think I started judging him, I didn't, it may have come out that way, but I can't judge something or someone when I have no experience when it comes to this particular type of relationship. Cause let's be honest it's a tricky relationship. Not something I'm into, or interested in experience it. Not my thing! After all, he is a friend, and I cannot judge his beliefs, I don't have to agree with him which I didn't and try to understand which I tried my hardest to. Probably failing at it on the way.
I couldn't talk to him naturally, couldn't stop having the same thought ' my friend saying he is loyal yet sleeping around.' Even if it was agreed with his girlfriend at the time, it isn't something I expected from him.
I can't lie and say I moved on, forgetting about this shocking news, I couldn't. My curiosity got the best of me. I asked about it. He simply answered without trying to detail anything to me, staying positive, fearless of my opinion, which I believe changed as soon as he saw I wasn't alright with it.
We discussed the situation in a simple way, I tried to keep an open mind, trying to stay away from argumentative talks.
He simply explained how being in an open relationship made him feel like he was free to do as he wished. Being in bars and not worrying about flirting or talking to girls around. He felt like it was easier to talk to the girlfriend, no secrets, honesty, and trust. Plus the bonus, the cherry on top, threesomes or Ménage à Trois if you know what I mean.
Simple answer right? A very quick answer to why he thought it was his best. Barely any drama, trust, honesty and mutual respect. They would come back to one another for love and companionship, and the others were just sexual pleasures, one night stands, fun nights.
Reading this answer made me feel sick in my stomach " a hopeless romantic"... Please give me something to make me believe that. Trying to understand where he was coming from was much more difficult than I anticipated. Sharing your partner with others, free to flirt with whoever, sleep around even if it's meaningless sex. It is quite different from what I could imagine coming from a hopeless romantic but then again... I can't judge!
But then he did say the downside of things. It is hard when a few things come into play.
Being in an open relationship is far from being easy as some would think. When two people agree to stay as a couple but still have the freedom to sleep with others, they both have to know how to trust and stay away from jealousy. When jealousy comes to play, "Oh, but you have more partners than me" or " I can't have you sleep around, I can't share", the relationship becomes harder! Then you have the lack of trust, faith in your partner, the fear of losing them completely, fear they will start loving others. So when you are in an open relationship, it could come up as harder than a "closed relationship."
That said, let me repeat myself, I'm not trying to judge anyone who agrees to have open relationships. My friend had reasons on why he went into one.
If you want to have an open relationship with someone, please do yourself a favour and check, talk to your partner a lot, get everything straight.
This little fact might have come to a surprise, but at the end of the day, I can't just ignore my friend, judge him! It doesn't define him, it shaped him as a human being, but it's not the entire him. Yes, he had an open relationship before, but he is still the same old person I've got to know over time and I'm proud to be a part of his life.
When you think of the whole story, he might have not detailed anything or explained much at first, took his time to tell me the background, but at the end, the full story showed up, explaining everything. I may not be the best person like the one he once loved, but... I'm lucky in many ways...

Thank you technology!
Who's for it and who's against it?
It's a mix feeling when it comes to my opinion!
I wasn't born with DVD players, MP3, or iPads. Later on it did cross my path, but I was born in the 90's and kids had different games, life at the time. The world has changed and seriously, the technology has evolved so much that in the past 10 years we have seen much more than expected. Kids nowadays know how to use a phone, a tablet, they spend hours on it instead of playing with their friends, outside. It's a change, for sure.
It's has pros and cons... Like about everything else.
I'm not much of a technology type of person, but I do love my laptop and iPhone! I cannot live without them now, but at the same time, if I didn't have them, I wouldn't be writing a blog for the world to see.
Technology might, indeed, take a lot of our time between texting each other from across the room or car (that happened when I was younger), and take up our social life more. Look at restaurants, people are either on their phones playing or texting someone else. No more communication between the people in front of us. That's part of the "new generation", or whatever you may call it.
The internet is addictive, you may spend hours watching YouTube without realizing what's going on outside your windows, it's rather scary. I do it myself, especially after dinner. I go to my bedroom and watch movies, series, or YouTube and I don't see the time fly by. You don't realize what time it is until your eyes start itching. We all do it, and there's nothing to lie about. It happened to everyone, even kids.
It's also a great way to bully people now! Cyber bullying now exist, and it's awful. It really needs to stop, but some people just have to be cruel to others. The internet is public, people see what you post on someone's social media... It could lead to suicide! Technology didn't bring bullies, but it's easier to target innocents online. You could hide your identity a lot more, and pretend to be their friends and stab them in the back later on. There's movies with internet corruption, and how scary internet can be. You have to be careful who you talk to! Please!
Now we can't just say the internet or technology is awful. Yes, there are a lot that might contradict the good, but we can't deny how much good it brought. Now we can travel and stay in touch with family members from a distance, you can call and message each other without difficulties. Alright, this happened a few times already, but I've been trying to get every text message across to someone, and that person has a difficult time receiving them. Some issues have to be fixed, soon, or else I'm going to be on someone's bad side!
My family members have left me in the States, while they went back to Europe... Without internet, my iPhone, or Skype, I don't know how I would survive without news. I need news almost all the time... That's a lie, I could go a week without news, but that's like mission impossible with my dear mother who text or call me EVERY DAY. Good thing there is 9 hours differences because I would have her on my back 24/7 if we were at the same time. On a side note... I have a missing book! Maybe there is something else to add to the list of missing objects. If you are new, my younger brother has left for Europe and since then I've been missing quite a lot, especially my toothbrush! I'm still investigating!
We wouldn't meet new people and stay in touch with some if it wasn't for technology. I must say thank you to the internet for letting me meet amazing people. Being careful is still on my top priority because you never know what might show up, but so far it's been all good. I can't complain much about the internet.
It is letting me have a blog and a schedule... Let me type my novel and maybe a second on its way...
Technology has a lot of defaults, and you have to careful on how you use it! On the bright side, there is plenty qualities to talk about when it comes to the internet or just technology! It has saved a lot of lives, relationships, and time (instead of getting lost on your way to a restaurant, you can check it up online, save some time).

It's getting me frustrated...
Alright, alright, a couple days ago or maybe a week or so ago, I showed you how much I disliked the new app "Pokemon GO"... I mean I even shared a video from KSI explaining what's all about, a little. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint the community, but it's finally catching up to me... I don't mean literally, but it's coming for me!
The game came out not too long ago and it is still running like nothing before. People across the planet is playing, heard of the app. Even my dear mother, I'm sure, has heard it all the way in France. It's a new addiction that is taking the life of millions, attacking young kids to old grandparents who decided to check out what their grandchildren are spending most of their precious time doing. It is a danger to society, instead of partying, they are walking the streets, filming, looking down on their phones instead of looking at the road in front of them, a danger may attack and hit them hard. The society has fallen and no one is doing a damn thing about it! What have we done to our generation?
After watching my YouTubers play the idiotic game on their smartphones, I decided to watch a French YouTuber play it as well, and I couldn't stop laughing. It's finally catching up to me, and I'm not happy about it at all. You would think I'm strong enough to stay away from the game, the addiction that consumes most people, well no. I want to play and get Pokemon as well. Horrible idea, I will end up having no more life if it comes to this... But hey, it's calling me as well as others, the curiosity is consuming me, little by little, making me want to get the app and become a sheep (let's be honest, one friend is playing so you are playing... A sheep following the leader.)
Luckily!
I can't play on my IPhone! Yes, laugh at me, laugh at the fact that I won't update my IPhone to a better one, throw away my IPhone 4... Well, sorry, but no! I won't update my phone, no I won't be able to play the stupid game, happy?
My phone is saving my life at the moment, instead of playing the game, I'm doing other things, more important than catching unreal Pokemon. The day Pokemon do exist, I will download the app after I obviously update my phone to the newest version.
For now, I will either have to play on a friend's phone or my brother's phone, if he has downloaded the game while in France which I highly doubt. He isn't the type of guy to play that game, but hey, we never know, my dream of catching at least one unreal Pokemon may come true one day. Until that day, I'm stuck on YouTube, watching my YouTubers catching, evolving Pokemon.
Well here is my YouTuber when he started playing ...
I won't lie to you, I can't...
I'm officially sad, I won't be able to download the app, I won't be able to become the greatest Pokemon thingy (I can't remember the term so thingy is the best I came up with), I won't be able to fulfill my destiny like Ash did in his adventures, the ones I watched as a youngster. The disappointment is real, painful and I can't do much about it. My dream of becoming a red team member is going to the toilet because my phone is saving my life and my time as well. Come on, I was destined to be on the red team since I was a kid, look at little me...
I don't know if I should be happy or sad about the subject, but I clearly frowning to the idea that my phone is too old and Pokemon GO won't make it to my phone.
